About This Facility

Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Hospital-Asokore is one of the earliest hospitals in West Africa. It was opened under the Nusrat Jahan Scheme. It started as a medical centre by Dr. Syed Ghulam Mujtaba in February 1971 in a temporary building which was owned by an Ahmadi, Opanin Mahmood Nkrumah. It is a primary healthcare facility with an average daily attendance hovering around 120 patients. Apart from serving the health needs of Ghanaians, clients from neighbouring countries such as Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Gambia, Guinea, Togo, Mauritania etc. prefer Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Hospital-Asokore because the success rate for surgical operations and cure for ailments is very high. Our mission as a facility is committed to service excellence and continuous performance improvement. As a community mission health care provider, we remain attentive to the health and well-being of those we serve through education, outreach and other innovative services. The hospital maintains high standards by recruiting and retaining excellent staff, physicians, and volunteers. It is always our hallmark to develop and maintain high quality and safe health care services using sound business practices and fiscal responsibility. The vision is to become the first choice for health and medical services to residents of its service area within its catchment area. We work in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service to ensure that quality healthcare reaches every member of our community.
